Windows Update Guide
If you run a Windows PC (Windows 10 or 11), you should regularly check that Windows update is running correctly. Windows needs regular updates to keep it secure, as it is by far the heaviest used - and therefore targeted - operating system. Windows Updates will download security fixes, driver updates and other critical software patches.
You can also see what version of Windows you're currently running by clicking on the Start menu and typing WINVER and pressing enter - this will display the version (ie 23H2) you are using. If you are using an older version (21H2 or earlier), please use Windows Update to move to the latest version (unless you are running legacy software that requires an older version), or get in touch with us to help you upgrade.
If you run a Mac system, go to Apple menu > System Settings and search for Software Update. It's important to keep your Mac up to date, but note that older Macs won't necessarily be able to be updated to the latest operating system.
